Start Small. Think Big.

Great ideas are oftentimes born out of a tragedy. We have a very distinct mission.

  • Raise awareness on the illicit Fentanyl crises that kills hundreds of people every day in the U.S.
  • Educate families and communities about the dangers of deadly illicit fentanyl in all recreational drugs

Following the loss of Romello, we learned that we are not alone in our pain. There are thousands upon thousands of other families who are going through their own stories of tragedy from losing a child or loved one to illicit fentanyl poisoning. We believe it is crucial to make ALL people aware of this epidemic, and we need your help to spread the word to your family and friends. There is no such thing as safe, fun recreational drug use anymore. ONE PILL, ONE LINE CAN KILL. And it happens EVERY DAY!!

This message is especially critical for young people, their parents, and their teachers. Recreational drug use, whether it involves cocaine or a (fake) oxy pill from a friend, is a greater risk than ever before.

  • We are glad that the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) is on board with bringing awareness now. Their #1 in charge made this statement in 2022 “Fentanyl is the single deadliest drug threat our nation has ever encountered,” said Administrator Anne Milgram.  “Fentanyl is everywhere.  From large metropolitan areas to rural America, no community is safe from this poison.  We must take every opportunity to spread the word to prevent fentanyl-related overdose death and poisonings from claiming scores of American lives every day.”
  • The DEA even opened an exhibit solely for the lives lost at their Arlington, VA DEA Headquarters building. https://www.dea.gov/fentanylawareness
  • According to the CDC, 107,375 people in the United States died of drug overdoses and drug poisonings in the 12-month period ending in January 2022.  A staggering 67 percent of those deaths involved synthetic opioids like fentanyl.  Some of these deaths were attributed to fentanyl mixed with other illicit drugs like cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin, with many users unaware they were actually taking fentanyl. Only two milligrams of fentanyl is considered a potentially lethal dose; it’s particularly dangerous for someone who does not have a tolerance to opioids.

People of all ages are dying because illicit fentanyl is being mixed into the street drugs. Street drugs include anything from cocaine to fake Adderall. Many of these people are in their teens or early 20’s. Families and young people need to know the risks. We don’t want any more families to lose a child in this way. No mother or father should EVER have to bury their child. CHILDREN SHOULD LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES, NOT DIE FROM THEM!

The Romello A. Marchman Foundation was formed to spread awareness about the illicit fentanyl epidemic.

Help us to help those who lost their child to an accidental fentanyl overdose.  Help us pay their funeral or burial costs to help them through this difficult time.
