On Memorial Day 2020 our beloved Romello was killed through illicit fentanyl poisoning in Nashville, TN. He was 22 years old and had just started his career as an Electrician Apprentice. He did not suffer from a substance use disorder but did use drugs on occasion recreationally.

He was not aware that the drug he was taking was illicit fentanyl. These days illicit fentanyl is mixed into every street drug.  As a result, hundreds of people in Nashville as well as across Tennessee and the U.S. are dying through illicit fentanyl poisoning every day.  Why?  Because only a small amount of fentanyl is lethal and most people are unaware of illicit fentanyl being mixed into their drug of choice.  A tragic and deadly combination.

Most people naturally do not worry about things until it directly affects them or their families. We were one of those families.  We cannot look away and let other families go through the same heartbreak without trying to help.  We decided that the most effective way to help others is to create a foundation.
